Croatian for Speakers of Other Languages

More than thirty years of teaching foreign languages have taught us that the best way to approach a learner is through his/her own potentials, basing the learning process on a learner’s strengths and weaknesses.

In practice, it means that our teachers in their one-to-one tailored courses aim at pinpointing the structures acquired in the learner’s mother tongue which often interfere with the new target language and also at identifying the learning style typical of the learner in question. Thus, by understanding the student’s learning style and corresponding language learning strategies, our teachers design communicative exercises which through repetition and exposure to various creative tasks help the learner to acquire the structures of Croatian language.
Our courses are based on the books published by Croaticum, The Department of Croatian Language of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb.
